URD reviews
The URD has been reviewed by the Fire Brigade and GLIMOS. The Fire Brigade
basically agreed on it, no major modifications are requested. However,
the GLIMOS made some important remarks. Apart from the CERN sites, the
CSAM system should protect the experiments and LHC machine, but this is
not clearly specified in the URD. This concerns the general description
and the specific requirements of the URD. Furthermore, there is no clear
relation between the general description part of the document and the specific
requirements.
A new meeting with the GLIMOS will be necessary to go into details
on the specific requirements.
Action items:
- Collect all available information about the experiments and LHC machine
concerning the interface with the CSAM system
- Add the technical specifications for the CDIN and CGAZ as reference
documents in the URD
- Define what exactly a safety action is. Is it the same action that
the ones performed by operators ?
Market Survey review
No comments where made about the Market Survey documents. In fact almost
nobody had the time to read them before the meeting.
Action items:
- For the next CSAM meeting, the 20th October 1999, send the comments
to L. Scibile, in order to correct and discuss them.
Prototype Report
Carlos and Silvia, they are preparing a short report about the prototype,
in order to get an overview of the evolution of the prototype. The idea
is to have a short report periodically to present the status of the prototype
design, the problem we found, possible solutions and decisions made. Furthermore,
this will be a very useful mean of increasing the communication with the
group. Even if somebody cannot come to the meeting we will be able to get
the feedback and comments from him.
No changes on the prototype installation.
Action items:
- First prototype report by the next week
- Start opening material boxes and reading manuals
- Activity charts for the prototype milestones need to be defined
Detection interface
The fact of having one or two PLC to interface with a central detection
gas or fire, can have big consequences on the implementation of the CSAM
system.
Action item:
- A short presentation to understand the actual situation with the
interface to the CDIN and CGAZ would be required
- The Technical Specifications for the CDIN and CGAZ should be available
from the CSAM Web page.
- We should start collecting information about the detection interface,
regarding the LHC-machine, experiments and sites.... The following kind
of table would be very useful:
Safety zone/Detection equipment/Equipment responsable/Interface type/Number
equipment/Number of detectors
A.O.B
- Next meetings will start punctually and they will last about 45 min.
