CSAM Detection

It is necessary to do a study of how many systems are, cables, location, etc. It would be useful a list with all the detection equipment at least to have an idea of how many systems are we talking about.

Pierre suggested the idea of using web pages residing in the master PLC of a safety zone. These web pages would contain the mimics for the Safety Zone, eliminating the need of a PC and therefore obtaining more reliability (e.g. no hard disk = less failures). Tono has already ordered a PLC with that capability to study this option in the prototype.

Action Items:

CSAM GANT diagram

Silvia presented the GANT chart diagram for the CSAM project. Details can be found in the document.

CSAM context and system diagrams

Silvia presented the revised context diagram and the system diagram for CSAM. In the system diagram the configuraction and supervision processes have been explicited as well as the interface with TDS as a redundant path and CAS.

Preliminary Analisys of Interface with CIE's

Carlos presented a comparative analisis between two alternatives to interface the equipment (CIE's): To have one PLC (with hardware redundancy) or two PLC's. Rui explained the impact in the current system and an aproximate calculation of how many detection systems are expected to be replaced by year 2006.

However during the meeting other alternatives to interface the CIE's (called "Mambos") were proposed:
